ScreenVCR supports 4 video formats:
SWF - Macromedia Flash (SWF) is an industry standard format supported on all platforms. Flash is ideal for web publishing and ScreenVCR produces smallest SWF files. ScreenVCR also lets you publish your SWF movies free of charge on our hosted Web servers with a single click of the mouse.
AVI - AVI is an industry standard video format playable by any video player such as Windows Media Player which is available on every Windows installation.
There are lots of third-party software products for editing AVI files. The drawback of AVI format is that AVI produces very large files. This is not an issue if you are going to distribute your recordings on CDs but files of such sizes are not suitable for distributing via the Internet.
SVCR - ScreenVCR's native file format. SVCR can be played by the free redistributable player software included with ScreenVCR. SVCR provides complete functionality of ScreenVCR and produces very small files.
EXE - EXE can be used on ANY Windows PC and does not require a player. When you double click the file the movie automatically starts playing even if the ScreenVCR software is not installed on the target PC. This is the most convenient format to distribute your screen movies. EXE adds a fixed overhead (about 400kb) to a movie compared to the SVCR format.
ScreenVCR can optionally record audio from any audio source such as the microphone or the audio output to computer speakers.
